Systems of Labour
This series examines the operational structures of labour throughout Los Santos, focusing on roles such as construction workers, street cleaners, mechanics, and emergency services. These figures are observed performing routine, task-oriented actions across varied settings, often embedded in the background of the environment. Their presence is defined less by individuality than by function.
The images reflect on how labour is systematised and rendered visible primarily through action rather than identity. This parallels real-world conditions in which forms of work —particularly manual and service-based labour — are essential yet frequently overlooked. The project, therefore, considers how both virtual and physical environments rely on structured, repetitive labour systems to sustain the appearance of order and activity.
